A sala terrena is a room located at terrain/ground level (hence the name) with easy access to the garden. This particular one is at the Kroměříž Castle and provides a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies. Another big advantage is that it tends to stay pleasantly cool even on sweltering days. Although the temperature wasn’t high by 2026 standards (around 27 °C in the shade that day), it’s still often more pleasant to be out of the sun.
For our group photos, we used both the castle park and the interior of the castle itself. We spent the rest of the day at the nearby Octárna hotel. Here is just a very small selection of the photos I’m allowed to publish for illustrative purposes.
