This page contains information about photography in the studio, so it is related mainly to:

• Artistic portrait and fashion photography
• Pregnancy and family photography
• Glamour / boudoir photography

One category is a bit separate:

• Business portrait is on a different page with different set of prices, because usually the photo shoot is shorter and has lower amount of fairly clearly specified photos.

Usual packages of services considering the photoshoots in the studio:

(MUA means a Make-Up Artist) If you wish to retouch more photos than specified in the respective package, it is possible to do so for 200 CZK/photo.

In all cases, after the shooting you will receive thumbnails of all the photos, which are smaller versions with a watermark, that you can review at your home to choose the final ones. I will retouch those and send them to you in the highest resolution/quality and of course without the watermark. (I don’t provide the unretouched photos.)

The retouching means the photos will be professionally corrected, including skin correction, background fixes, color adjustments etc. It doesn’t include background replacement and similar advanced modifications as you can find in the Photomanipulation gallery.

If is possible to arrange a make-up artist to create a photo make-up of your choice and do a basic hair styling.

There is a reservation deposit fee of 600 CZK (300 CZK if the make-up artist will not be present). If the photoshoot is cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance, the fee is returnable. In case the photoshoot is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance or in the case of no show, the fee will be forfeited.

Note: Bigger dogs and animals are forbidden in the studio – their claws are damaging the floor.

I don’t have any modeling experience, does it matter?

Not at all, it is very common! The experience surely helps, but even on the first photoshoot there are virtually always good photos. I will be giving you tips on how to improve the current posture etc.

Do not be afraid of bad photos, unusable shots are common even for experienced models. But the result is immediately visible and can be easily improved in the next shot.

What will be happening?

In the studio we will clarify what style of photos you like. You can either bring along some favorites downloaded from the internet or we’ll take a look at my gallery.

If we book the makeup artist, makeup will be done. This can add about 30 minutes and with hair styling another 30. It is a good idea not to wash your hair on the day of the shoot. The make-up artist then leaves.

]During the shoot we can change the “scenes” freely – different backgrounds, different lighting styles, on the sofa, etc. A great photo doesn’t come out right the first time, so we will try different poses, expressions or change the lighting. We can switch to a different paper background at any time, just changing and re-adjusting the lights takes low units of minutes.

After the photo shoot, you will receive thumbnails, i.e. reduced versions of the photos with a watermark, in your email. From these you can choose the ones you like the most. I will edit the selected photos and send them again by e-mail in maximum resolution and without watermark.

You will check everything and hopefully you will have pleasant memories of the photo shoot, of which you now have a memory.

Which and how many outfits to take

Usually it is feasible to use 2 to 4 sets of outfits per one hour.

It is a good idea to look for some photos that you like (wither anywhere on the internet or in my galleries) and be inspired byt the clothing style present on them.

It is a good idea to take shoes with higher heels for at least some of the photos. The heels make legs appear longer and force the model to stand with curved back, which looks elegant.

• For portrait photography, it’s better to wear clothing with your shoulders covered so that your shoulders don’t detract from the photo.
• For fashion photos, besides elegant clothes, a matching handbag or other accessory is also nice thing to have.
• Glamour or boudoir is usually captured wearing lingerie. Some jewellery may be a spectacular accessory.
• Artistic nudes can use jewelry, gloves, a hat or a variety of unusual accessories and props.

How far in advance is it necessary to book a session?

It is a good idea to aim about a week in advance, for earlier dates please call. Sometimes there’s a chance to make a booking for the next day. On the other hand, when shooting with a makeup artist, we have to coordinate multiple calendars, which can sometimes be trickier.

What photo sizes will I get from the shoot?

I use the Sony A7R V professional cameras, which have 60 megapixels. Often a light crop is used for better composition, so the result is between 40 – 60 megapixels. But that’s still huge, so in practice the final photo is suitable for printing on virtually any format

How does the retouched photo looks like?

All of the photographs presented on this site had been retouched. These changes include correcting the skin problems, smoothing, reduction of unwanted shadows, eyes brightening, teeth whitening, local sharpening or blurring, cropping, background fixes, lighting changes etc.

All of this counts as normal retouching. On the other hand, complex adjustments such as changing backgrounds and generally compositing multiple photos together are not included.

How does the advanced retouching/photomanipulation looks like?

It is possible to arrange creation of such photos too, but the difficulty and the time requirements are higher and the price depends on the actual requirements, so please contact me with your idea for the calculation.
