Ludmila and Tomáš’s wedding had a smaller number of guests, but was all the more memorable for it. The popular Petrov Cathedral in the center of Brno was chosen for the ceremony, but otherwise the day was much more unusual than a “typical wedding.” The reception and the rest of the day took place at the Kaskáda Golf Resort north of Brno, just a short distance from Kuřim.
This meant a few things: First, a reception with a view of the green hills and the opportunity to step outside at any time to enjoy the scenery. Second, we were able to use the golf course for the photo shoot (and ride golf carts to more distant spots). That’s where most of the portrait photos were taken. It’s just a pity that the wedding took place in late April, so nature hadn’t quite had time to fully bloom yet. Even so, there’s a lot of optimism in the air for the new nature cycle and for our heroes as they embark on their new life together.
The third advantage of the golf resort was the golf lessons for both the newlyweds and the guests! With an instructor, they practiced both playing on the green and hitting long drives. I was surprised by this activity, because I hadn’t seen it at any wedding before (and I’ve even been right here at Kaskáda for another wedding). Everyone had a great time, and it really added some variety to the festivities. I highly recommend it for weddings with a smaller number of guests!
One more note to clarify: This wedding was nearly derailed by a car accident, but fortunately, everything worked out in the end. The groom just had to wear a neck brace to stabilize his upper spine, which is why it’s visible in some of the photos.
Ceremony: Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Brno
